Training: Free construction skills training with Fluor-Lane

Fluor-Lane is partnering with the SC Department of Transportation (SCDOT) to conduct a pre-employment construction skills training for the Port Access Road project.

 

Training scheduled dates

  • Session 1 (May 15-May 26)
  • Session 2 (June 5-June 16)

 

80 Hours Pre-employment basic skills training curriculum

NCCER core curriculum

Basic skills to include basic construction

Flagger Training Certification

Safety training

CPR/First Aid certification

Employability skills

Job-site visit last day of training

Lunch provided each day of training

 

Requirements

18 years or older

Successfully pass drug screen

Commit to classroom training for 2 weeks at Trident Technical College and the Fluor-Lane North Charleston site

Preference for candidates who reside in the following communities:

  • Union Heights
  • Chicora-Cherokee
  • Acabee
  • Five Miles
  • Liberty Hill
  • Windsor Heights
  • Rosemont
  • Howard Heights
